Longhorns look to bolster record with midweek non-conference games.
Fresh off a weekend series win over the Oklahoma Sooners, the Texas Longhorns (24-14) return to the diamond for a pair of non-conference games. Texas will play a home game at Disch-Falk Field on Tuesday evening against UTRGV (18-18) and will follow that up with a short trip to the Houston area on Wednesday, where they will face Texas Southern University (16-20) at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
The Longhorns vaulted back into the Top 25 after securing the series win in Norman, landing at #21 in D1Baseball’s poll, #20 in Baseball America, and #24 in the Perfect Game/Rawlings poll.
The UTRGV Vaqueros defeated Texas State on Tuesday of last week and won one-of-three at home against Grand Canyon University last weekend.
Texas Southern currently holds a five-game win streak as they head into their Tuesday night matchup against Baylor.
