Longhorns freshman running back Keaontay Ingram made it through Thursday’s practice and has a strong chance of play Saturday against TCU.
Texas coach Tom Herman said Thursday that Texas is waiting to see whether Ingram is excessively sore Thursday night and Friday. Ingram missed last week’s game with a sprained MCL and bone bruise.
“I don’t want to say 100 percent,” Herman said. “It was a bone bruise. The knee is stable. We’ve just got to figure out pain tolerance and if it starts becoming a hindrance. That’s where you’ve got to say enough is enough
Herman also said offensive line Patrick Hudson (heat-related illness), linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (knee) and wide receiver Brennan Eagles (hamstring) are out. Center Zach Shackelford will dress but probably play in an emergency only.
