Kai Jones, a 4-star center in the 2019 basketball recruiting class, recently announced that the University of Texas has made his final 3 along with Florida State and Baylor.
Jones, standing at 6’10, 205 pounds from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, has been a top target for the Longhorns in their 2019 recruiting efforts.
He is ranked 53rd overall and the 13th best center in the 2019 class.
Jones recently had an official visit to Austin and it looks like Texas made a nice impression on him. FSU hosted a visit for him earlier in September and he will be visiting Waco this upcoming weekend.
This would be an outstanding player for the Longhorns if coach Shaka Smart can gain a commitment from him. Jones would be joining fellow 2019 4-star recruit SG Donovan Williams if he decides UT is the place for him. Hopefully there is a future dynamic duo in the making with these two.
