Texas Longhorns wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey was added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list Wednesday.
The award is presented annually to the best receiver in the FBS, regardless of position.
No Longhorn has ever won the Biletnikoff, but Humphrey has put himself on the radar of the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation that runs the award by catching 35 passes for 525 yards and four touchdowns through Texas’ first six games.
The Southlake, Texas is coming off a career-high nine catches for 133 yards in last Saturday’s 48-45 win over the Oklahoma Sooners. He caught one touchdown and threw for another in the victory.
Humphrey has at least four catches in every game this season.
The Bilenikoff Award winner will be announced during a banquet at Florida State’s Doak Campbell stadium on Feb. 16.
